How Harmony Captures Conversations

Harmony records your meetings and turns them into transcripts, summaries, and action items. You add Harmony to each meeting manually by pasting the meeting link; automatic join from your calendar is not available yet.

How to have Harmony join a meeting

  1. Copy your meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams).
  2. Open the Harmony dashboard and use Quick menuRemote.
  3. Paste the link and click Ask Companion to join.
  4. Admit Harmony when it appears in your meeting.
  • No auto-join: Harmony cannot automatically join meetings from your calendar yet
  • No invite email: There is no Harmony email address to add as a meeting participant
  • One-time link use: Each meeting link can only be used once. Reusing a link may cause errors.

What Harmony captures

During the meeting Harmony captures audio, meeting title and duration, sentiment, key words, and who attended. It produces a transcript (with speaker identification where possible), an AI summary, and extracted action items.

Participant Experience

When Harmony joins:

  • Appears as "Harmony" in participant list
  • Joins silently - requires admission, but doesn't announce its presence (configurable in the future)
  • Doesn't speak

After the meeting

The recording is uploaded and transcribed; analysis usually finishes within a few minutes.

What You Get

For every meeting you get a recording (audio or video, retention varies by plan), a transcript, an AI summary, action items, and insights.

The transcript is full, timestamped, and searchable. Harmony identifies who spoke when and shows how much each speaker talked—the share of speaking time per person. You can edit the transcript (edits help improve future accuracy), search it, and export it as PDF, DOCX, TXT, or JSON.

The summary gives you a short executive overview, the main topics, decisions made, and next steps.

Action items are pulled from the conversation automatically: what to do, who’s responsible and by when (when mentioned), plus the relevant context.

Insights go beyond the summary. They include engagement, the overall vibe of the conversation, a summary with key points, how often key words were used, discount impact, income segmentation, and whether the customer gave positive feedback.

The single biggest factor in transcription quality is audio quality. Ensure clean audio - decent microphones quality, Internet connection, and no background noise for significantly better results.

You are responsible for following local recording laws and informing participants. Harmony appears in the participant list so its presence is visible. For more on consent and best practices, see Getting consent.
