Recording Meetings Automatically
Automatic meeting joining is not yet available. The features described on this page are planned for a future release. Currently, you must manually invite Harmony Companion to each meeting you want to record.
See Your First Meeting for instructions on how to manually add Companion to your meetings.
How to Record Meetings Today
Manual Invite (Current Method)
To have Harmony record your meetings, you must manually invite Companion for each meeting:
- Copy your meeting link from Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
- Open the Harmony dashboard
- Click the Quick menu and select Remote (Companion joins)
- Paste your meeting link in the dialog
- Click "Ask Companion to join"
- Admit Harmony when it appears in your meeting's waiting room
Known Limitations
Each meeting link can only be used once. Attempting to use the same meeting link a second time may result in errors, and Companion will not be able to join. If you need to rejoin a meeting, you may need to generate a new meeting link.
Upload Existing Recordings
Alternatively, you can upload recordings after the meeting:
- Go to Meetings in the sidebar
- Click Upload or the upload button
- Select your audio/video file (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, MP4 — up to 2GB)
- Wait for processing to complete
Planned Auto-Join Features
The following features are actively being developed:
- Monitor your connected calendar for meetings with video links
- Automatically join at the scheduled time
- Record and process without manual intervention
