Skills Overview
Skills are specialized capabilities you install to extend what your Companion can do.
While the standard Companion is a generalist assistant, Skills turn it into a specialist, adding focused expertise for specific tasks—like debugging Python code or writing board meeting memos. Each skill provides pre-defined instructions and templates that ensure Harmony delivers consistent output in exactly the format you need.
Finding and installing Skills
- Navigate to Companion > Marketplace.
- Click the Skills tab to browse individual capabilities, or Discover to see curated lists.
- Click on a Skill card to view its details.
- Click the black Install button.
Collections
Collections are bundles of related skills designed to set you up for a specific role or workflow in one click.
For example, the Meeting Essentials collection installs three skills at once:
- Meeting Notes Template: Standardizes your documentation.
- Follow-up Email Generator: Drafts post-meeting communications.
- Action Item Tracker: Extracts tasks and owners.
When you view a Skill in the Marketplace, you’ll see how it works, which AI model powers it, and who created it (Harmony official or Community).
